	Latest Project Bawdeswell News - At its recent meetings the Committee reluctantly agreed that the Children’s Play area equipment obtained from Coltishall cannot be re-erected in Bawdeswell. The manufacturers of this equipment, who would be willing at great expense to refurbish and install it, cannot guarantee that once done it would meet the health and safety requirements of ROSPA. We cannot proceed with that knowledge, although we do plan to try to install the slide ourselves because it is in less need of refurbishment and poses less of a health and safety problem. The equipment from Coltishall, which we can no longer use could be made available to a private citizen who may wish to install it in a back garden. We have registered with Entrust, which will enable us to apply to Biffawards for funding for brand new wooden equipment from Playscape. A draft plan of a new Village Hall was tabled and discussions are taking place on how to proceed with fundraising for this. It is planned to make a presentation to the Parish Council in February on all aspects of the proposal. Plans were also discussed for the BAG activities for half term and for a Christmas party. A Bridge course for adults has just started and table tennis is about to begin once a fortnight. We need to increase the momentum of the project but, unfortunately, we are relying on a very small number of villagers who are already heavily involved in the Community. If you want better facilities, now is the time for your support. Some work is being done between meetings and behind the scenes by the sub groups but we need more people. Join us at our next meeting on the 8^th November at 10.00 am in the Village Hall. Come along and hear all about the various work streams and share your ideas with us.
