BAWDESWELL VILLAGE HALL & RECREATION GROUND DEVELOPMENT PROJECTMINUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE STEERING GROUP HELD ON SATURDAY 3 DECEMBER 2005 AT A PRIVATE HOUSE (HALL NOT AVAILABLE) AT 10.00 AM
PRESENT: James Lilwall (Chairman), Jayne Bown, David & Janet Cockburn, Alex Kirby, John Mallen, Marietta Menzies, Nicholas Ward, Graham Swain, Angela Shannon (Parishioner)
APOLOGIES: Gillian Horner, Piers Wallace, Fel Roberts.
Agenda
The Chairman opened by reminding the committee that this special meeting was solely to finalise and approve the village surveys to be carried out in 2006.
Minutes of the Last Meeting
The minutes will be reviewed at the next regular meeting.
Adult Survey Form
Point 1 - Checked that each heading was appropriate and self-explanatory.
Point 2 - Under ‘Comments’ - add “(Please list group and location)”.
Point 3 – Education – Okay.
Point 4 – Village Centre – Change to ‘Community Facilities’.
Point 5 – Any other comments box - add ‘How would you like it to develop in the future’.
Students Survey Form (11-16 one page)
AK outlined a couple of changes. The contact point was discussed – decision made to put Project Website e-mail address. All members of committee approved the rest of the form.
Childrens Survey Form (5-10 one page)
Point 3 - Change to ‘Where do you live?’.
Point 5 – Add ‘what and where?’
Bottom of Form – Add ‘Please give to your teacher or parent’.
Survey Crib Sheet
JL outlined why crib sheet is important. It was agreed that not only would the sheet be used to members of the committee, but also a copy would be issued, along with the survey form, to each adult resident. Each point was reviewed. It was agreed that the Website as contact point should be put at the bottom.
(Post meeting note – a copy of revised crib sheet was circulated by email on 3/12/2005)
Any Other Business
1. Parish Precept – JL sought views on amount to be requested for Project Bawdeswell for 2006/2007. It was agreed to request £500.
2. JC informed committee that the circulation folder had a copy of a sample business plan for all members to review before the next meeting.
3. JL informed committee that he would obtain quotes for the printing of the survey sheets.
4. AK was requested to e-mail copies of the final agreed version of the surveys to members of the committee and Veronica Savage prior to the next meeting.
Date of Next Meeting
Saturday 11 February 2006 at 10.00am in the Village Hall. Veronica Savage will be attending this meeting. It is hoped that Jean Hanks from Little Ellingham will attend the meeting in March (date to be agreed). Could everyone please bring diaries so that meetings can be planned for the full year?
